Auto Insurance

If you drive, your vehicle must have auto insurance coverage.

Do you know what type of coverage you should have?  Do you know what Georgia law requires you to have?

Following are different types of coverage that are available.  You may or may not need all of these coverages.

Liability Coverage:  This type of coverage is what is required for all drivers to have by Georgia law.  The insurer will pay damages if you injure someone or their property in an auto accident.

Uninsured and underinsured motorists coverage:  If you are involved in an accident with another driver who is uninsured or underinsured, this coverage will pay for medical expenses due to the accident to you or any passenger in your vehicle, as well as pay for damages to your vehicle.

Medical Payments:  This coverage provides a limited amount of coverage for you and your passengers’ medical expenses as a result of an accident.

Collision:  If you are involved in an accident, regardless of who is at fault, this coverage provides protection to replace or repair your vehicle, subject to a deductible.

Comprehensive:  For losses or claims not involving an automobile collision (hail damage, tree limb falling on your car, theft, vandalism, etc) this coverage provides protection to replace or repair your vehicle, subject to a deductible.
